Amazon Prime Day Tips and Tricks

Amazon Prime Day this year is October 13-14 and there are going to be a number of great deals.  They have already started posting some "Early Access" deals on the site.

In order to find the best deals and find exactly what you are looking for this year, I highly recommend making a list.  Some of the deals don't always show up under "Prime Day" if they aren't "Lightning Deals" and rather you need to search for them.  That means they will only show up if you type in what it is your are looking to buy.

My List:

  • Printer
  • Cup holders for stroller x2 (I like Think King)
  • HDMI cable
  • TV mount
  • GE Ice Maker
  • Barbie
  • Polly Pocket
  • Yeti Cooler
  • Handheld Car Vacuum
  • Melissa and Doug
  • Anything Frozen
When you are either on your phone or on the computer you have the option to view Active Lightning Deals, Upcoming, and Missed.  This is especially helpful because you can add the upcoming deals to your watchlist so your phone sends you a notification when it goes live.  Make sure you have notifications turned on for the Amazon app or you may miss it.

When you are looking for deals, you can narrow down the deals by department.  I usually check toys & games first.  Kids products tend to go fast.  This year I expect the same because the sale is normally in July and this year it is in October.

A bunch of other moms on Instagram and I will be getting up early and sharing our finds ALL DAY!  Be sure to follow me on Instagram @diapersanddonuts.
